Boho Loves: Rise Art – The Alternative Gift List Idea and a Review of our Experience, steelasophical
Here at Boho HQ we love anything a bit different and imaginative when it comes to the wedding world. So when Rise Art got in contact to discuss the possibility of me trying out their super cool curated online gallery with the idea of them sending me a free piece of art, I was over the moon.
Nik and I had discussed getting a large piece of art for a while now, ever since we got our extension finished at the beginning of the year. However, it was something that we had just talked about and not actually put into action. Rise Art made our dream a reality and we couldn’t be happier with their service and the end result.
More about Rise Art
Rise Art is a curated online gallery where anyone can easily discover and own contemporary art from around the world. It was born out of a belief that there was an easier way for people interested in contemporary art to discover works they loved – simply, online and without the fear or intimidation that usually goes along with buying art.
Every artwork on the site is chosen by Rise Art’s team of experts, so you can explore hundreds of artists in every style and budget knowing that each of them have the Rise Art seal of approval. Not sure what it is you’re looking for? Rise Art’s curators will help you find whatever that might be, with a free one-on-one service offering advice from the artists to watch, how to compliment your décor, what piece is a great gift or simply to help discover the artworks you will love. Rise Art also uses AI technology and is set to launch a personality match-maker service later this year to match customers to their perfect piece of artwork and make the process of choosing art as streamlined and simple as possible.
Rise Art also offers a ‘try-before-you-buy’ art rental option so that you can road test artworks in your home for a month or more, and if you don’t like it, you can send it right back. Combined with framing services, free no-hassle returns and advanced technology, discovering exceptional art, from the latest up and comers to established artists, really is that easy.
Our Experience
After a conversation with one of their lovely team, Nik and I set about finding our artwork to fill the rather large gap above the sink in our new kitchen.
There are so many amazing contemporary art works to choose from on their site, at first I thought it may be a bit overwhelming to find something we both liked, but in fact it was a pretty easy experience. With helpful search bars at the top of the page you can choose from mediums, i.e photo, drawing or mixed media, then by style and subject matter. You can also choose by price range, colour or size of artwork. Nik and I worked through the site and saved a few of our favourites and then we found an amazing artist called Rebecca Mason. We had discussed getting a neon sign to put over the sink a few months before, so when we found her work we knew she was the one for us. Her limited edition prints combine a real neon sign with mixed media, to produce totally stunning prints that can then be framed. Perfect for what we were looking for. The only hard bit was deciding which one to have.
Once we had decided the site was again easy to use and order our artwork. We had the option of having the print framed by Rise Art, what colour and it even gave us the option to view the artwork as it will look in your home.
Once ordered, the communication we had from their customer services team was second to none. We were kept updated with the status of our order, so we knew exactly when it was going to be delivered. It was delivered in super quick time and when it arrived we were over the moon. The follow-up communication was also fantastic, and now Nik has hung the picture we are more than happy with our choice.
An Alternative Idea for a Wedding Gift
We would highly recommend Rise Art, and I think it would be a fantastic alternative to a wedding gift list. Instead of buying your bride and groom something you’re not sure they want, a stunning piece of artwork could be the alternative you are looking for. Or how about buying a piece for your future bride or groom yourself?
If you are an art loving bride or groom then Rise Art could be just what you are looking for. Create a wish list of artwork and let your guests see what your hearts desire. Or simply ask for donations to put towards your chosen piece, you won’t be disappointed and these art works will stand the test of time.
