Rivercatcher Inspiration

Dreamy meadows, cakes on swings and ethereal inspiration that will instantly transport you to your happy place. Friday afternoons don’t get much better than this.

The romantic and evergreen surroundings at Rivercatcher in Wales inspired the soft, light and airy colour palette and made the perfect location to showcase
all this wedding talent. From the dreamy dessert station to the fabulous fashion and romantic blooms Jade Leung Wedding Design and Heledd Roberts Photography made sure everything looked utterly serene and mesmerising.

Sorry not sorry for all the swooning and pinning that may will occur whilst poring over these images.

Heledd Roberts Photography : My vision for this bridal styled shoot was to create a luxury, light-filled and fresh setting for the detail orientated, adventurous and romantic bride. When I first visited Rivercatcher, it’s blank canvas beside a river location inspired me to create a colour palette of soft greens, gold and whites.

I aimed to utilise a mix of minimalist features like the venue itself with full details to create a carefully balanced setting. Ailsa Munro’s Billie separates teamed with Ivy Pip and Rose’s loose bouquet and Elin Wyn’s whimsical hairstyle complimented each other so well. Keena’s soft makeup made for a dreamy, dewy look. I collated North Wales’ best wedding professionals and I was so honoured to work alongside these amazing, creative individuals. Many thanks to Wilna Venter for modeling for us and Emily Roberts for creating a beautiful video of the day.

Jade Leung Wedding Design: From the first moment I visited the Rivercatcher I was struck by its sense of serene calm and beauty. It is set within beautiful grounds off the beaten track in rural North Wales. The outdoor space was so beautiful I just knew we had to make use of it! For the outdoor set-up, I selected just a few key pieces. I didn’t want to distract from the scenery, rather make the trees, greenery and the view of the river the focus, and have the furniture complement it. A minimal dessert station on a rustic hanging table which was created by Made by Wood and Wood perfectly suited this relaxed set-up. It also made sure the gorgeous cake by Hayley’s Piped Dreams shone in all its glory.

For the indoor space, my focus was the same; simplicity! A quoted backdrop made by the Soiree Stylists was hung with fresh ivy draping. The table setting detail was all white, with accents of a pale mint green and cream. Ivy, Pip and Rose’s floral arrangements included amazing café au lait Dahlia’s which were also featured in the stationery, lovingly created by Quaintly Kate.
