Read on for full details!

Well a BIG hello to you all today and happy almost end of peak wedding season!

Firstly, an intro. We’re Kat (aka Katrina Otter Weddings) and Lisa (aka Carmela Weddings) and today we’re here to talk to you about our new business baby…Planning Redefined.

In a nutshell, Planning Redefined offers training workshops for the modern wedding planner. We’ve combined our years of award-winning wedding planning, business coaching and styling experience and mixed open, informative and relevant sessions with the best guest speakers, networking opportunities, mini hands-on workshops and practical demonstrations around and we can’t wait to tell you more…

If you’ve ever thought about becoming a wedding planner and running your own business then Planning Redefined could totally change your life.

Whilst we know that lots of you who are reading this are in the midst of wedmin (and a change in career is the last thing on your mind!), we also know that there are plenty of loyal Rock My Wedding readers out there who are already married or not yet engaged. But, we’ve all got something in common and that’s the fact that we’re all interested (some would say verging on obsessed) with weddings. And the wedding planning industry is just the same – so many different people with so many different styles, all with one shared passion which means that if you’ve considered making the jump into a whole new career, there’s a place right here with your name on it!

Of course, training courses and workshops for aspiring (and experienced) wedding planners are nothing new but whilst weddings have been evolving at a rapid rate, the training for the very people who’ll be organising them just hasn’t. Well, we thought that it was high time that this changed and so Planning Redefined was born.

Truthful and practical, our workshops are a one-stop shop offering you all of the support, inspiration and impartial advice you’ll need – Planning Redefined has been developed with your future in mind.

We can promise you that our workshops won’t be old school so don’t expect to spend the day in a chair, watching a presentation or listening to lectures. Oh no, that won’t do for us at all. We’re all about the relevant and the engaging so if you cast your eyes over our agenda, you’ll see that there’s a whole mix of sessions that have all been designed to inspire you, give you useful skills and unmissable knowledge not to mention networking opportunities and a whole day dedicated to styling with the opportunity to create some all-important set-ups, flat lays and details for your own portfolio.

Our workshops also come with a fluff-free guarantee. We’re going to be giving you clear and honest advice and we’ll answer your questions without dodging the tricky ones! We’re going to tell you like it is because we know that’s what you need. As you’ll see (if you find out more about us), we’re very different in style and approach but we firmly believe in honesty and authenticity and because our styles contrast, you get an entirely fresh look at the business of matrimony.

First up, we’re bringing Planning Redefined to London (1st to 3rd November) and we would LOVE for you to join us. We’re lucky enough to be hosting the event at one of the amazing spaces that you’ll find on the style-focused wedding venue directory Coco Wedding Venues – JJ APEX in the creative capital of London, Shoreditch. Think textured walls, an English/French shabby chic vibe and fabulous vintage furniture so as you can no doubt now imagine, it’s perfect for our workshop.

Over the three days that we’re together, we’re going to cover everything that you’ll need to get your business up and running – from the importance of a solid business foundation through to services, pricing, social media and all the essential elements of wedding planning. You’ll take home course notes and downloadable templates plus a shiny certificate of attendance and you’ll be automatically enrolled into our pre AND post-workshop support Facebook groups. There’s also a follow-up one-hour Skype session waiting for you too when you’re ready for some post workshop one-to-one support (and if you’d like another complimentary hour of coaching, check out the special offer at the end of this feature!).

Of course, you’ll be spoilt with lunch and refreshments, a networking dinner with drinks at the end of day one and much more besides but, as much as we LOVE cocktails, we’re even more excited about our brilliant line-up of speakers because we’ve assembled the best the wedding industry has to offer, just for you.

On day one, we’ll be joined by Instagram guru Helen from Socially Beautiful, branding expert Louise from Fleurir Creative and founder of the world’s biggest Jewish (and Jew-ish) wedding blog, Smashing the Glass. Day two is equally as exciting as we welcome the exceptional wedding planning talents of Louise Perry and international luxury wedding planner Matthew Oliver. Over the first two days Emma Soulsby, MonAnnie Cakes and Mix & Twist will be leading mini-workshops and our workshop hosts, JJ Media Group, will also be talking about the importance of working relationships.

Our final day is a practical styling workshop that will make sure your portfolio is pretty as a picture. Sundari (aka The Wedding Stylist) and Andri from Always Andri Wedding Design will be talking to you about the styling basics, design portfolios and working to briefs plus you’ll get to create your own set-ups and flat lays. It’s fair to say that we’re blown away by the talent and creativity of our speakers and are excited at the prospect of having them all in one place, just for you.

Some Of Kat & Lisa’s Gorgeous Work

Now you’ve heard all about Planning Redefined, it’s time to head towards your new future and book your place to join us in London in November. You’ll find all you need to secure your place here and, as a little Rock My Wedding extra, if you mention RMW when you sign up, you’ll receive an extra hour of coaching with either of us (your choice, we promise not to take it personally!) so that’s two hours of one-on-one Skype action coming your way after the workshop.

Your new business is one step closer than you think.
